Home protection reminder following burglaries

We’d like to remind you during this warm whether to take measures to protect your home from opportunistic thieves ☀️ 🏠

There have been two reports made in Thorpe St Andrew in the last few days in which someone has entered the victims’ properties through an open ground-floor window and stolen items from inside.

While enquiries are ongoing to establish whether these incidents are linked, officers would like to remind you to close and lock windows and doors when a room isn’t in use, and to hide any valuables on display.

More info on home security can be found on our website here: https://orlo.uk/06zHY

The incidents happened on St. Williams Way on the 8th August, between 8.30am and 12pm, and Gorse Road on the 10th, between 10.45am and 2pm.

If you have any information or doorbell footage from the area during these time frames that could assist the investigations, please contact PC Sewell on 101 or via Harry.SEWELL2@norfolk.police.uk, quoting 36/56731/25 (St Williams Way) or 36/57063/25 (Gorse Road).

Always call 999 for a crime in progress or an emergency.
